General liability and workers' comp, quoted fast.

Tell us about your business in a few short sections and our brokers will come back with options from top carriers. Pick general liability, workers' comp or both, and you'll only see the questions that apply. Eligibility, timing and pricing depend on your class of business, your state and carrier appetite.

    Let's start with you.

We save these details as soon as you continue, so a broker can pick up where you left off if anything goes wrong.

Does the business use a DBA ("doing business as") name?
    What coverage do you need?

Select one or both. If you're not sure, choose both and we'll tell you what makes sense for your stage.

    About the company.

Carriers rate on what you actually do day to day, so be specific.

Federal employer identification number. It speeds up quoting.

    Enter 0 if pre-revenue.

    Workers' compensation.

Workers' comp is priced on payroll by type of work, so split your team the way they actually spend their day. Best estimates for the next 12 months are fine.

    About quick quotes

What is an Alton Risk quick quote?

    +

A quick quote is a fully digital application for general liability, workers' compensation or both. You answer a few short sections online, and an Alton Risk broker returns options from top carriers, aiming for the same day.

How fast will I get a quote?

    +

Our goal is a same-day quote. Timing depends on your class of business, your state and carrier appetite, and a broker may ask follow-up questions before presenting options.

Can I get a certificate of insurance?

    +

Yes. A certificate of insurance is issued once your policy is bound, and we aim to do that the same day. Note any additional insured or waiver of subrogation wording your contract requires in the application.

What do I need to complete the application?

    +

Your legal business name and entity type, a plain-language description of operations, revenue, locations and prior carriers. For workers' comp, also headcount and payroll by role. For general liability, desired limits, products and subcontractors.

Does submitting the application bind coverage?

    +

No. Coverage is only in force once a policy is issued after you review and approve an option.

What if my business is complex or has been declined elsewhere?

    +

Submit the application anyway. A broker reviews every submission, and harder risks can be placed through specialty and E&S markets. For other coverage such as D&O or cyber, book a consultation.
